Street children, homeless people, the destitute and prostitutes that live on the streets are immensely broken. Action Labourers for the Harvest has been involved with outreaches and community projects to these target groups in the Sunnyside-Arcadia-Pretoria area since June 1996 at the Crossroad Coffee-House Outreach Centre. Action Labourers for the Harvest is registered as a non-profit organisation.
At the centre we provide food, counseling, trauma counseling,
skills development programs, an opportunity to bath, wash clothes and receive a
new pair of clothes. The centre also serves as a reference center in terms of
available accommodation in the Inner City as well as specific help needed.
Meals are served here on a daily basis. We have a holistic approach in which
the spiritual as well as physical, emotional, mental and social needs of people
are attended to.
